WE SHOULD BE MORE PROACTIVE THAN BEEN REACTIVE WHEN HANDLING CONFLICTS.....OKOWA'S AIDE


The recent crisis rejuvenation in Warri between the Ogbe/Ijoh and Aladja people have made one to think on the proactiveness of the government in handling conflictual issues among communities.



Speaking to KPOOKA MEDIA reporters in Bomadi, Sen Ifeanyi Okowa's aide on security Francis Muturu aka Gen Aboy said it is time issues like such should be handled with a proactive stand not been reactive resolving to only complains when a deed is already done.

That, the Aladja and Ogbe/Ijaw crisis is an age long war between two communities trying to hold a small portion of land, he further expressed that he believes conflict entrepreneurs are benefiting from the system that is why they keep on fingering and reranding the crisis just to make more gains from people's blood.

Gen Aboy, futher call on the youths of both community to look inward and think if killing their neighbors will make them better, he futher expressed that as an on security to the delta state government that he is duty bound to work around the clock and see how key players involved are called and an advocacy visit will be put in place to see how this lingering situation is nipped to the bud.

Furthermore,Gen Aboy sympathize with the families of Taylor over the lost of their son and pray that God gives them the fortitude to bear the loss.

A foremost Ijaw activist Comrade Stanley Patrick aka Ogbakiri,a signatory to Kiama declaration and a leader of KOLTA MILITANTS has called on Ijaw leaders to call Proffesor Charlse Dokubo to order and also ask the contractors handling the Bomadi Skill Aquisition centre to quickly complete the project so that Niger Delta youths can benefit from the scheme. Ogbakiri lamented how the project is been slowed down despit the huge amount that is been pumped in to complete it,he said about 85 percent of the total contract sum have been given to the contractors and these contractors instead of doing their jobs they are busy enriching themselves and building mansions for themselves.
