AKPABIO HAS SKELETON IN HIS CUPBOARD,GROUP BLAST MINISTER OF NIGER DELTA AFFAIRS.

Image
The Ijaw Volunteers ex-militants has blasted the Honourable Minister for Niger Delta Affairs Senator Godswill Akpabio on his continues pursuit to allow an interim board to run the NDDC despite the fact that the new appointed board members have been screened and confirmed by the Senate. The group in a statement signed by Comrade Azorbo Amabiri noted that there is no doubt that the Honourable Minister wants to use the interim board which was rejected by the Senate to cover his loop holes and use them as conduits to syphone his "supposed"money he has lost during elections. They futher noted that it is  evident that the Honourable minister who in character and virtue have a trace of corruptable practices has seen an avenue to amass wealth for himself and his cronies. Senator Godswil Akpabio who recently on his emergence as the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs has ursuped powers by using the backdoor to employ over 300 staff into the NDDC,as we speak appointment letters are flying ...

FG TO COLLABORATE WITH FOREIGN PARTNERS TO DEVELOP THE NIGER DELTA REGION

Image
The Federal Government is to partner with African Export and Import Bank and other International Agencies that can give its funds at Zero percent or single digit for the building of major industries and factories in the Niger Delta region. Senator Akpabio said this when the President of Ijaw Youth Council, Barr. Oweilami Pereotubo with other Ethnic Youth Leaders from the Niger Delta Region paid a courtesy call on the Minister on Tuesday November 5th, 2019, in Abuja. According to Senator Akpabio, the partnership will create the platform for the youths to explore   the opportunities in the agricultural and crude oil value chain. He added that this will create employment opportunities and also bring sustainable peace and development in the region. The Minister called on the people who are sponsoring the youths to protest against the 3-Man Interim Committee recently inaugurated to oversee the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) to toe the part of dialogue. THE JOURNEY WAS FAR MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE OUTCOME  Winning is a habit. Unfortunately, so is losing ~Vince Lombardi It is no longer news that the outcome of today’s Appeal Court judgement did not go in my favour as the judgement of the Election Petitions Tribunal in Asaba was set aside by the Appellate Court sitting in Benin City. I want to first appreciate everyone who were in the trenches with me throughout this journey. Please do not despair. There is no winning or losing, but rather the value is in the experience of imagining yourself as a character in whatever genre you're involved in, whether it is politics or any other endeavor. I cherish the input of everyone -family, friends, political party, supporters and the good people of Delta South Senatorial District. I am happy that throughout the elections and the tribunals, our peaceful process as a Senatorial District was tested. Recall I withdrew from the race in 2014 as a result of the threat to peace. In 2019 however, an its...

PLANNED CLOSURE OF NDDC OFFICE: THERE IS NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT

Image
There is no cause for alarm over the threats to close down NDDC Office. FG should not listen to the ranting of those noise makers masquerading as a factional IYC. In the first place, IYC has no faction. Whoever is parading himself as the President of the Council is an impostor. As far as the Ijaw nation is concerned, I am the only President of the Council. As for the threat to shot down the Commission by those sponsored agent provocateurs, IYC wish to reiterate our earlier stand that the threat did not emanate from IYC national neither any of its organs. We  warn these jobbers not to hide under the popularity of the Council to propagate their political business. On the interim board, IYC cannot blame the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, His Excellency, Chief Godswill Apkabio since the presidency has said it was Buhari that used his prerogative power to constitute the interim board. Garba Shehu has told the world through Channels TV Sunday Politics that it was Buhari that ordered th...

STEP ASIDE NOW ..IJAW VOLUNTEERS EX-MILITANTS ATTACK GODSWILL AKPABIO (MND)

Image
The Ijaw Volunteers ex-militants has doubt in the Hon.Minister of Niger-Delta affairs, that he  does not have the  moral and  legal backing to set-up and finish the supervision of the  Forensic audit in NDDC and this will delay the inuaguration of the screened NDDC Nominees to be sworn in by president. According to the group, Sen Akpabio like other former Governors in the region, brought this mess in NDDC. Akpabio needs to be audited like any other  former Governor and NASS NDDC committee. Also  some cabals in Abuja are guity of the crimes too. That the Sen Bassey Henshaw led board when Dan Abia was Md, buildings and roads contracts worth over 50bn was awarded to Akpabio and Mobilization were collected without any signpost and job done on site.  They also claim that it is on record that during Nsima Ekere's tenure,it was worse because contracts over  70bn and NDDC money of over 3bn cash was given to him (Akpabio) on monthly campaign imprest ...
