COMMUNITY POLICING IS THE BEST WAY TO CURB INSECURITY IN BOMADI LGA.. OBIE

The Senior Special Assistant to the the Executive Governor of Delta State on security Hon Prince Godwin Obie has said that the best way to curb insecurity in Bomadi LGA and Delta state at large is the implementation of proper community policing. This he spoke to news men through a telephone chat with Kpooka Media Reporters that the prevalent security situation in the LGA is alarming and there is an urgent need for community policing to come to stay in the state. Outlining the pros of the initiative Hon Prince Godwin Obie said that community policing will not only employ teeming youths but also engage them in meaningful service to themselves and to the state. That community policing will help in reducing the bulk of work on the Nigerian Police force,Joint military take force and the SSS because those that perpetrate crimes are individuals around not people from the forest he added. As the heat goes on and transition get into high gear, more aspirants has come out to make their position known and declared their interest to contest in the forth coming Ijaw Youth Council elections.  One of such who have joined the race is Comrade Yinkere Thompson who hails from Titi clan. Comrade Thomson Yinkere made this known to his primary constituent in tuomo town. Those present includes clan chairmen, parliamentarians and critical stake holders in the clan. Speaking to kpooka media reporters he said "my intention to run for the seat of the Secretary general Ijaw youth council is out of the passion I have for the Ijaw people and I'm willing and able to serve my people if I'm giving the opportunity to do so he concluded.

The Spokesman of the Ijaw Youth Council Comrade Daniel Williams Dasimaka has declared  his intentions to run for the position of the president of the Ijaw Youth council worldwide. Comrade Dasimaka made this known as he visits western zone to meet with the leadership of Meinbutus in Warri Delta State. Warri____ An ljaw group under the aegis of Concerned Citizens For lzon-ebe Development (CCFID), has appealed to the foremost ljaw born Niger Delta freedom fighter, High Chief. Government Oweizide Emkpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo to intervene on the slow pace of work at Ayakoromo bridge project, in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State over the past five years.
