STEP ASIDE NOW ..IJAW VOLUNTEERS EX-MILITANTS ATTACK GODSWILL AKPABIO (MND)


 The Ijaw Volunteers ex-militants has doubt in the Hon.Minister of Niger-Delta affairs, that he  does not have the  moral and  legal backing to set-up and finish the supervision of the  Forensic audit in NDDC and this will delay the inuaguration of the screened NDDC Nominees to be sworn in by president.




According to the group, Sen Akpabio like other former Governors in the region, brought this mess in NDDC. Akpabio needs to be audited like any other  former Governor and NASS NDDC committee. Also  some cabals in Abuja are guity of the crimes too.

That the Sen Bassey Henshaw led board when Dan Abia was Md, buildings and roads contracts worth over 50bn was awarded to Akpabio and Mobilization were collected without any signpost and job done on site. 

They also claim that it is on record that during Nsima Ekere's tenure,it was worse because contracts over  70bn and NDDC money of over 3bn cash was given to him (Akpabio) on monthly campaign imprest  because of Nsima Ekere's desperation to become Governor in 2019. 

They further expressed that Akpabio as Minister of Niger-Delta state, supervising Nddc now paid himself as the contractor of NDDC permanent Head office in Port-har-court with  2.5Bn.till date no work is going on site. That he also paid himself 400 slot of waterhycinth amounting to about 1.2bn. 

That the refusal of the then former acting Md to pay him (Akpabio) another 30bn for non executed jobs led to her  sacked on 29/10/2019, and she was replaced with the interim committee. 

We condemn every actions of Hon.Akpabio in setting up interim committee. The entire Niger-Delta leaders and youths know that Akpabio don't have a moral justification to set an audit panel or preside over forensic audit,considering the actrocities committed by him and other Governors in the region, cabals in Abuja and NASS members in the region, they added.

 We the youth groups, stakeholders and ex-agitators from Niger-Delta region call on Sen.Godswill Akpabio-Hon.Minister of Niger-Delta affairs  to step aside from the Niger-Delta ministry for an independent forensic Auditors to conduct thorough audit without his interference or manipulations.

A foremost Ijaw activist Comrade Stanley Patrick aka Ogbakiri,a signatory to Kiama declaration and a leader of KOLTA MILITANTS has called on Ijaw leaders to call Proffesor Charlse Dokubo to order and also ask the contractors handling the Bomadi Skill Aquisition centre to quickly complete the project so that Niger Delta youths can benefit from the scheme. Ogbakiri lamented how the project is been slowed down despit the huge amount that is been pumped in to complete it,he said about 85 percent of the total contract sum have been given to the contractors and these contractors instead of doing their jobs they are busy enriching themselves and building mansions for themselves.
