The Ijaw People Assembly aka Ijaw Nations Development Group congratulate our sons Chief David  Lyon and Sen. Degi Biobara on their electoral victory as the Governor-elect and Deputy Governor-elect of Bayelsa State at the just concluded gubernatorial election.

No doubt the victory is that of the Ijaw people in general and Bayelsans in particular who trooped out en masse despite the challenges of the ravaging floods and  despondency to vote for your candidature. We are optimistic that your administration will usher in the desired peace, security and much expected development which you promised during your campaigns. 

We expect you will bridge all political divide in the spirit of sportsmanship and embrace all as the Ijaw political leader for an all inclusive government. We expect you to hit the ground running upon assumption of office with impactful programmes. In which case we implore you to assemble the best of our human capital as you build on the achievements of previous administrations in our collective drive to take Bayelsa State, the pride of all Ijaws to her next level.

Please be assured of our willingness to collaborate and/or partner with you for the successful implementation of your programmes and/or in the design, birth and implementation of other people- oriented programmes for the advancement of our beloved State.

 The Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Delta State Government on Security, distinguished Comrade Daniel Pere Ezekiel has charged Chevron and other oil multinationals operating in Egbema Kingdom and environs to help government of the state to build peace in Warri North, so as to fast track development in the area.
