DELTA STATE DEPUTY GOVERNOR COMMENDS HON PEREZ OMOUN AND HIS TEAM FOR TRANSFORMING PATANI LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA.

The Deputy Governor of Delta State, Deacon Barr Kingsley Burutu Otuaro has commended the executive Chairman of Patani local government councils Hon Perekebena Perez Omoun  for his Wisdom and good leadership attributes which has led him in the drive of evenly developing   the entire council area.




The Deputy Governor who delivered his address at an interdenominational birthday thanksgiving service/reception    ceremony of some illustrious sons and daughters of Patani local government area, said he appreciates the good works of the Chairman for transforming the area which  was once very volite.

He commended the chairman for organising a befitting birthday and a reception party for his predecessors and leaders of the area remarking that this is "significant because critical leaders of Patani local government area were all given birth to in the Month of October as their birth month. I want to thank you for the wisdom, like you have said earlier in your opening speech, it is God,s own doing and it is marvellous in the sight of all men that we do at all times, appreciates the blessings of the Lord upon our life. "

" To be alife today is God's and God' mercies upon the life of every one of us, at the very challenging times and keeping us alife and seeing how as a people we have been able to contribute our little quota to the community development of our council area . It is Gods doing.  out of our busy schedules we have come to thank God for all the things he has done . And it is my hope as well as the hope of many others that God who is sovereign will acknowledge the thanksgiving celebration we had today in commemoration of our leaders " he stated.

Deacon Otuaro continued, " I want to thank you and indeed it is commendable. I want to also thank the chairman  of the council.  looking through this our programme brochure I can also see how he has made many strides in developing the local government council .Road networks as well as efforts to ensuring that there is security of life and properties in the council because it was recorded once upon a time pass that it was pretty difficult in Patani local government area owing to the activities of  some persons  who were formenting  insecurity in the local government. He added. 

"And I think some of these efforts as    put together by the Chairman has actually brought to rest the challenges of insecurity in the local government council. Because I can see in the programme some partnership you had with security agencies, road networks water projects, education and renovation of health facilities is commendable.  Commendable against the backdrop of when many local governments areas are raising their voices of lean finances. That you are able to put all these together, I think is commendable.  We encourage you to do more . God will guide you to do more for you people." Otuaro also stated.

He charged the people to use the moment of the event to build better bridges of cooperation, understanding  and solid leadership focus in the entire local government area more importantly Patani local government area,  gifted  with quality and seasoned leaders, remarking futher that if they could have a greater understanding, it will translate into more development in the entire local government, the state and beyond. "

The Chairman Hon Perekebena Perez Omoun while commending the people for turning up for the epoch making event,  said they decided to thank God on  behalf of his Predecessors and other prominent sons and daughters of the local government in the Month of October in their various  roles towards the development of the local government area and humaity as a whole, remarking that they can not celebrate them only in death but now that they are still alife.

He prayed for the people that for them to have the time to attend, celebration will not cease from their entire life as he promised to do more for the development of Patani local government area. 

Dignitaries at the event which attracted all the who and who in the society include , the Deputy Governor of Delta State Deacon Barr Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, Hon Kelly Penawou,Chief Dr Engr  Pius Sinebe  pioneer PDP Chairman Delta State,  Engr Jude Sinebe Deputy Chief of staff Government House Asaba ,Rt Hon. Basil Ganagana Commissioner for Power and Energy Delta State,   Chief Emmanuel Amgbaduba commissioner for oil and gas, Chairman Patani local government, Hon Perekebena Perez Omoun, ( Esq) Executive Chairman Patani local government council, and Hon Perekeme JATO Obi, Vice Chairman,  Patani local government council..

The event which climaxed with the cutting of cake by the  Deputy Governor, the chairman of the the council and others including  the celebrants ,HRM. Barr, Shedrack Peremobowei E ,  Pere of Koabowei  kingdom,   Chief Engr Dr,,Sir,Pius  Senebe ,Hon Barr. Raymos B Guanah,Engr Emmanuel Amatare Sinebe, Comrade, Asiuwhu, Engr. Dr. Sir Jude Sinebe, Chief Mrs Josephine Abeni,  Hon Barr. Brave Enodeh and Hon Austin Ware-Ebi Bebeteidih and others,  were thrilled with a Popular Musician in Delta State known as Tisio Tisio.

A foremost Ijaw activist Comrade Stanley Patrick aka Ogbakiri,a signatory to Kiama declaration and a leader of KOLTA MILITANTS has called on Ijaw leaders to call Proffesor Charlse Dokubo to order and also ask the contractors handling the Bomadi Skill Aquisition centre to quickly complete the project so that Niger Delta youths can benefit from the scheme. Ogbakiri lamented how the project is been slowed down despit the huge amount that is been pumped in to complete it,he said about 85 percent of the total contract sum have been given to the contractors and these contractors instead of doing their jobs they are busy enriching themselves and building mansions for themselves.
