GETTING IT RIGHT,IJAW YOUTH COUNCIL AND THE NEED FOR A UNITY CONVENTION..JPO

It’s time to put Ijaw Nation first .

Happy new year to all ijaw youths and members .

As expected we will soon begin the process to elect a new set of leadership to pilot the affairs of our flagship the ijaw  youth council . Given this inevitable process I want to thank the duo of Oweilaemi Pereotubo and Eric Omare both my senior colleagues in the temple of justice and co-members in council for their show of reconciliatory disposition. 


It’s true and undisputed that these past three years has been like the locust years in our history . A period where our collective agitation spirit and unity was so bastardized . A time where our voices though sonorous but was divided against its own course . Indeed it was one of such moments we will never want to replay or recreate as it marks the hallmark of an engendered Nation.

As we enter the period of change of baton I want to admonish and encourage both to understand the primacy of our collective greater objective as a Nation. It’s time to take a deeper sober reflection and begin a self evaluation and in doing this realize that we have wasted three years in fighting among ourselves .
It’s time to put ijaw Nation first and move on as a people . 

The duo of Eric and Oweilaemi must find time to sit among themselves alone and work out the necessary modalities to conduct a UNITY CONVENTION. 
This decision is inevitable and ijaw Nation beckons on you to show your true patriotism to her Noble cause as a people .

It’s not a time to show who is correct or who is legit . It’s time to show true love for your Nation and get things right and make a mark for yourself and for your generation .

Being lawyers puts more expectations on you as you are both seen as model characters and professionals that will think differently and do the needful.

I want to appreciate you both for your show of such noble and pristine character in honouring our leader Chief AK Horsefal when he called and pleaded with you both to sheath your sword in the greater interest of ijaw Nation and write your names in Gold.

There is no winner or looser in this unfortunate battle but ijaw Nation that bears the pains of a divided leadership . 

It’s our nature as humans to disagree sometimes but it’s also am expectation that we always find a way to settle amicably our differences as higher mammals .

Accordingly , I call on all lovers of ijaw Nation to stand with both parties , pray for them guide them and help them to achieve this most prized victory in converging in one community and organize a befitting IJAW YOUTH COUNCIL UNITY CONVENTION AND BIRTH A NEW LEADERSHIP.

This is our only expectation in this first quarter of the year and that should epitomize the end and the beginning of the breath of fresh air in the leadership of council .

I encourage all characters to put all differences behind and allow for this peace initiative .

I look forward to such a time where I will be called to be informed of the unity decisions that will begin the process of a CONVENTION .

 The Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Delta State Government on Security, distinguished Comrade Daniel Pere Ezekiel has charged Chevron and other oil multinationals operating in Egbema Kingdom and environs to help government of the state to build peace in Warri North, so as to fast track development in the area.
