BOMADI YOUTH PRESIDENT LED OTHER YOUTH LEADERS TO STORM BEDEC OFFICE IN UGHELLI.
The Bomadi Youth President Comrade Lucky Ebiwarebo led other youth leaders to the Bedec office in Ughelli to lay their grievances over the constant delay in the lighting up of Bomadi and its environments.
Speaking on behalf of other youth leaders comrade Lucky Ebiwarebo laid the complains of the aggrieved persons in the local government area that they are tired of listening to rumors over the light issue so they have come to verify from the office.
He further expressed claims that from facts available to him, that the honourable commissioner for power and energy Hon Basil Ganagana said the government of the day have completed every transaction concerning the light issue in Bomadi and the bulk of complain should be given to the Bedec, that also the executive chairman Hon William Angadi has also paid all necessary bills the Bedec asked for but he is still shocked to see that nothing has been done so far.
Other youth leaders who were presents also vent their position to the Branch manager that he should explain why the delay is there that if not for logic a reasoning they would have stormed the office violently.
While responding the BHM Austin Isibor thanked the delegates present and also thanked them for their maturity and calmness,he further said that the Bomadi light issue is their priority and they will leave nothing un turn to make it come to pass.
The Branch manager Bethel Ebiuwhe pleaded with the leadership of the youth that all the claims they presented were nothing but the truth,that he has a close relationship with both the commissioner and the local government chairman which he is not ready to truncate.
That the Bomadi light issue is as a result of the delay in receiving of prepaid meters from the distributing headquarters in Benin and that as at last Friday he was at the headquarters to get them but due to bureaucratic bottle neck and procedures has led to the delay but promised that in no distant time this matter will be laid to rest.
He further call on the people of Bomadi not to truncate the process which has gone above 90 percent due to little hiccups along the way.
He thanked the leadership for their understanding and maturity in the handling of the matter.
