PEREZ THE WORKING CHAIRMAN HAS TOUCHED EVERY NOOK AND CRANNY

It has become a cliché that allocations to the LGAs are for payment of salaries only and while some local government chairmen merely fold their arms complaining about poor funding and economic crunch, others made the best use of whatever situation they find themselves.



However, rather than join the bandwagon of executive complainants who defend their abject non performance in the Local Government system, Honorable Perez Omoun Executive Chairman Patani Local Council Council is singing a new and different song and changing the paradigm.

Omoun seems to be in a great race to deliver the dividends of democracy to his people than giving excuses and anything else thereby fast becoming one of the best so far.. He has made true most of his promises by constructing new roads and rehabilitating bad and failed roads in the local government area, Construction of wooden bridges in communities in the local government.
No doubt, Patani is already wearing a new look even as few of the roads earmarked for construction and rehabilitation are still untouched.
It may not have been difficult for Hon Perez to concentrate on other infrastructures. But as a man with a deep conviction for the transformation of a civil service LGA to a private sector driven economy, he has decided to start with the provision of excellent roads as one of the core requirements in meeting the development needs of any society.

In the area of Health Care, Omoun did a Mobile Medical Outreach to the communities in Patani LGA after the 2018 ravaging flood, treated 674 persons while surgical operations were carried out on 4persons. The administration has been able to renovate the Staff Quarters and sinking of mono pump at Abari Primary Health Care Center, Provision of mono pumps and minor fix of mechanicals at Adoubu and Odorubu Primary Health Care Centres.

it is further worth emphasizing at this point that in a bid to consolidating on his developmental promises and to ensure that Patani local government people reap practical dividends of democracy in his time, efforts were made by his administration to embark on what he termed "THE GREEN REVOLUTION" Green Revolution is an empowerment program to train people on snail and grass cutter rearing with starter packs for the beneficiaries. 
It is also noteworthy that the present administration has within its time in office committed a reasonable amount of money to the people as a form of grant for self-employment.

On Security, Hon Perez is very much aware that security is key to prosperity and growth of any society and in trying to leave no stone unturned to ensure that Patani maximise its potentials to the fullest by creating an enabling and safe environment for its residents, he assisted the Nigeria Police Force with a patrol vehicle to effectively combat crime. Also, his administration has collaborated with Sagbama Local Government of Bayelsa State to curb security challenges facing both LGAs.

It is heart warming to say at this point that Hon Perez Omoun Esq is not an idler but an achiever.
