WE SHALL NOT AID AND ABET CRIMINAL ELEMENTS IN BOMADI, DPO BLAST

The Bomadi Divisional Police officer CSP Paul has vowed not to aid and abet any criminal element in Bomadi,promising the people that he will continue the cleansing and make Bomadi a safe haven.



CSP Paul when addressing KPOOKA MEDIA reporters in his office earlier today gave kudos to his men and other security agencies that have step up the game in making Bomadi safe again, in his words he said 'if you can recall our last meeting with the Local Government Chairman Hon William Angadi and critical stakeholders at the secratariate we were able to find out the loop holes in the security architecture so the result you are seeing today is a product of our last meeting'.

We were able to refine both the community policing system,reorganize the vigilantee,equipping them and we increased our intelligence gathering network. There is no doubt there is a total clamp down of criminal elements in the town which I know many can attest to it he added. The Nigerian Police Force has collaborated with the community policing network,the Bomadi LGA vigilantee and our men and the SSS,so there is this chain of security networking which has made our security network much easier.

When asked about the major challenges he is facing in tackling security in the town,he said there are many criminal entrepreneurs who are respectable citizens but they chose to be the ones who will come and seek for release of every kind of case even if it's beyond my reach. Come let's think together, how do you expect me to release a suspect found with tonnes of white substance suspected to be coacain,how can I release a suspect found with marijuana,how can I release a suspect with fire arms,these are triggers of conflicts and such person when found are charged to court immediately for the law to take its full charge of it.

When asked about the indescrimate arrest of youths in the community when there is no curfew, the divisional Police officer said 'what will a right thinking person be doing outside by 1:30am under bridge smoking Indian hemp? What will a right thinking person be doing outside at that unholy hour when there is no clubbing event,burial ceremony etc. The youth arrested were found culpable,they couldn't identify themselves and they are of questionable character,that is how they raid peoples houses with dangerous weapons, I bet you to show me any responsibile youth who identified himself properly that was arrested.

When asked about him receiving the sum of 10,000 for bail, the Divisional Police officer said, I have a track record of excellence and the commissioner of Police is aware of every activity going on in Bomadi, I left Patani with a clean record and I am duty bound to make such a good record here too,it is laughable when mischief makers wants to discredit your good works,if they claim I collect money for bail which they know is free,let them produce the receipts of payment,pictorial evidence etc to proof their claims he said.

You see my brother, we are in a Commuinity where everybody wants to protect only their own and allow others to suffer,in my few days here I have understood the people so well that I have adapt with them,all cases that are beyond my office are  transferred immediately to our area command and possibly charging them to court immediately he added. As I speak over 10 persons will be paraded at the State commsioners office next week for futher prosecution,we are here to serve the people and this we must do he concluded.

The Divisional Police Officer futher charged all security machineries not to fold their hands but to be on their toes and ensure that lives and properties are safe in the LGA.

A foremost Ijaw activist Comrade Stanley Patrick aka Ogbakiri,a signatory to Kiama declaration and a leader of KOLTA MILITANTS has called on Ijaw leaders to call Proffesor Charlse Dokubo to order and also ask the contractors handling the Bomadi Skill Aquisition centre to quickly complete the project so that Niger Delta youths can benefit from the scheme. Ogbakiri lamented how the project is been slowed down despit the huge amount that is been pumped in to complete it,he said about 85 percent of the total contract sum have been given to the contractors and these contractors instead of doing their jobs they are busy enriching themselves and building mansions for themselves.
