BARRISTER OWEILAEMI PEREOTUBO SENDS CONGRATULATORY MESSAGE TO LYON.

The President of Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) worldwide Oweilaemi Pereotubo has congratulated David Lyon, the Candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the just concluded Bayelsa State Governorship Election, on his "well deserved victory at the polls. 



The congratulatory message was contained in a statement signed by his Spokesman Comrade Daniel Dasimaka which hailed the peaceful conduct of the election in many places where violence was feared due to the experiences from past elections.

The Statement reads in part 
The Council wishes to felicitate with the good people of Bayelsa State on the successful conduct of your Governorship election and to congratulate Chief David Lyon on his victory.

Bayelsa is very dear to the hearts of all well meaning Ijaw people in the world over.  So we urge all stakeholders to accept the out come of the election and let’s work together to rebuild the ijaw nation of our dream. 

We are very pleased with the reports we have gotten about the manner in which the exercise was conducted. Although there were reports of pockets of disruptions we are glad that no live was lost in this election.

It is the hope of the Council that David Lyon having risen from the ranks as a Community Youth leader and a renowned business man would unit Bayelsans across party lines to build the Bayelsa our fathers desired for.

A foremost Ijaw activist Comrade Stanley Patrick aka Ogbakiri,a signatory to Kiama declaration and a leader of KOLTA MILITANTS has called on Ijaw leaders to call Proffesor Charlse Dokubo to order and also ask the contractors handling the Bomadi Skill Aquisition centre to quickly complete the project so that Niger Delta youths can benefit from the scheme. Ogbakiri lamented how the project is been slowed down despit the huge amount that is been pumped in to complete it,he said about 85 percent of the total contract sum have been given to the contractors and these contractors instead of doing their jobs they are busy enriching themselves and building mansions for themselves. The story of professor Charlse Dokubo could be likened to Amalanze the cat,that  great wrestler whose back never  touched the ground.
