RESOLUTIONS OF THE MAIDEN NEC MEETING OF THE IJAW YOUTHS COUNCIL, WORLDWIDE AT IJAW HOUSE, Jul 27,2020

After due deliberations on the issues affecting the Council and the Niger Delta region in the maiden meeting of the 8th executive Council of the IYC.




We resolved as follows.

1. Council thanked Government Ekpemupolo, alias the GOC for providing an enabling environment at Oporoza community, Gbaramatu kingdom in Wari South-West LGA of Delta state upon which the Electoral committee under the chairmanship of Barr. Bekeowei Ajuwa conducted a free, fair and credible elections.

2. Council thanked former leaders, critical stakeholders and in particular, the delegates for giving us the opportunity opportunity to serve the Ijaw Nation at this time of the Councils history.

3. Council extends its hands of fellowship to fellow contestants in the just concluded election and constituted a seven man post election crisis management committee, headed by the Deputy president of Council, Comr. Savior Olali to resolve pockets of grievances that may probably arise thereafter.

4. On the drama both the National assembly and Interim Management Committee(IMC) of the NDDC is acting on national television, Council frowns at it seriously and called it as a national embarrassment not just to the region but to Nigeria at large. 

5. In other not to make hasty conclusion on the controversies surrounding the IMC and NASS, Council have decided to embark on a fact finding mission to the National Assembly and the IMC independently to ascertain the root course of the monumental corruption in the NDDC which had slowed down development that would've benefitted the  region positively.

6. Still on the NDDC, Council demands the immediate implementation of the original master plan of the Commission to fast track the developmental yearnings of the people in the region.

7. On the amnesty program, Council call on president Muhamadu Buhari to as a matter of urgency appoint a  substantive SA/Coordinator of the presidential amnesty  program who is competent enough to understanding the motive behind its formation and put the program back on track as it is gradually derailing from the original design.

Finally, Council, sent a signal to the IOC's operating with the Niger Delta region to be prepared for a robust engagements with a view of providing job opportunities for our youths who are skilled in the oil and gas sector but no job.

KOLTA MILITANT AKA OGBAKIRI BLOWS HOT, CALL ON IJAW NATION TO CALL CHARLSE DOKUBO AND CONTRATORS TO COMPLETE THE BOMADI SKILL AQUISITION CENTRE. Kpooka reporters - 09:14

A foremost Ijaw activist Comrade Stanley Patrick aka Ogbakiri,a signatory to Kiama declaration and a leader of KOLTA MILITANTS has called on Ijaw leaders to call Proffesor Charlse Dokubo to order and also ask the contractors handling the Bomadi Skill Aquisition centre to quickly complete the project so that Niger Delta youths can benefit from the scheme. Ogbakiri lamented how the project is been slowed down despit the huge amount that is been pumped in to complete it,he said about 85 percent of the total contract sum have been given to the contractors and these contractors instead of doing their jobs they are busy enriching themselves and building mansions for themselves. PROFESSOR CHARLSE DOKUBO,A MAN WITH MANY LIVES...KEN KOLOSI

The story of professor Charlse Dokubo could be likened to Amalanze the cat,that  great wrestler whose back never  touched the ground. Just as the nature of cats  that survive many battles,so is proffessor Charlse Dokubo.  Since the day he emerged as the Special Adviser to the president on the Amnesty pProgramme there are tens of thousands of petitions to remove him from office that he is incompetent and not be able to address the problems of the Niger Delta.
