CELEBRATING A LIVING LEGEND..THE MAN CALLED COMRADE FRED AFOEGBA AKA OLD SOLDIER

Hon Comr Fred Afoegba hails from Orugbene in Oporomo clan and Enekorogha in Seimbri clan both in Burutu local Government Council of Delta State in Western Zone.




He was enlisted into the Nigeria Army , serve in different capacity and was posted to laiberia, sierra Leone , for peace keeping operations Ecomog ,he was also posted to serve in United Nations operations (UN) he left the army voluntrily and desire to serve the ijawnation particularly in his terminal years in the  Nigeria Army compelled him to immediately join his contemporary youths to participate in the activities culminating in to the KAIYAMA DECLARATION.

 His immense contribution to the successful events of 1998 and there after catapulted him to limelight and earned him the respect of his contemporaries.He further make meaning contributions to the ijaw struggle and also test his popularity,

(1)He was elected Director of mobilization Ijaw Youth council Western Zone under the leadership of Hon Asupa Forteta as chairman

(2) financial secretary ijaw youths council Western Zone under the leadership of Comr Ampos Mezeh as chairman

(3)  information officer Ijaw youths council Western Zone under the leadership of pamote waresuote as chairman

(4) He was elected national financial secretary ijaw youths council world wide under the leadership of Dr Chris Ekiyor as president

(5) He was appointed Chairman National Employment Committee under the leadership of Engr Udens Eradri as president

(6) He was elected National Director Of Mobilization ijaw youths council worldwide under the leadership of Barr Owielaemi  Peretubo as president.

To further test this veteran's popularity in the struggle, he was elected into the Burutu Legislative House where he serve as a councillor under Hon Asupa Forteta as chairman of council.

He was also elected again into Burutu Legislative House where he serve as councillor under the leadership of Ebikeme Clark as Chairman.

Hon Comr Fred Afoegba is a freedom fighter, a vibrant youth leader, a mediator, a peace ambassador,  a team player, a bridge builder, a stateman, a good jolly fellow, Happy Birthday Brotherly , A K A Old Soldier, THE IYC GENERAL, AGE WITH GREATER GRACE.

KOLTA MILITANT AKA OGBAKIRI BLOWS HOT, CALL ON IJAW NATION TO CALL CHARLSE DOKUBO AND CONTRATORS TO COMPLETE THE BOMADI SKILL AQUISITION CENTRE. Kpooka reporters - 09:14

A foremost Ijaw activist Comrade Stanley Patrick aka Ogbakiri,a signatory to Kiama declaration and a leader of KOLTA MILITANTS has called on Ijaw leaders to call Proffesor Charlse Dokubo to order and also ask the contractors handling the Bomadi Skill Aquisition centre to quickly complete the project so that Niger Delta youths can benefit from the scheme. Ogbakiri lamented how the project is been slowed down despit the huge amount that is been pumped in to complete it,he said about 85 percent of the total contract sum have been given to the contractors and these contractors instead of doing their jobs they are busy enriching themselves and building mansions for themselves. The story of professor Charlse Dokubo could be likened to Amalanze the cat,that  great wrestler whose back never  touched the ground. Just as the nature of cats  that survive many battles,so is proffessor Charlse Dokubo.  Since the day he emerged as the Special Adviser to the president on the Amnesty pProgramme there are tens of thousands of petitions to remove him from office that he is incompetent and not be able to address the problems of the Niger Delta.
