MISS BOLGA SET TO LAUNCH SERENA OGODOBIRI GIRL CHILD EDUCATION FOUNDATION (SOGCEF)

The winner of the Miss Bomadi Local Government  beauty pageant tagged Miss BOLGA ,Miss Serena T Ogodobiri is set to launch her girl child education foundation in days to come.



Miss Serena Ogodobiri who is also a medical student at the St Gregory University Abia State,said that it is time she gives back to the society with the little she has learnt so far and with the support from sister organisations like the Badoukumor Foundation that it is time to launch this foundation,she said she  is sure of bringing her vision to limelight.

In her words She said "I noticed girls here don't like education as much as they want to be successful,being educated is not the solution...... Though

She futher expressed the need for every female child either in the creeks,or towns to be educated, that they don't want  the "pennis but pens" that when a girl child is educated it saves a generation yet unborn.

The beauty queen said that every Vision is achieved when proper planning is put to place and starting this foundation will be a thing of joy and  she  won't relent until this is done.

I know people who will want to see their female child become successful in challenging careers, people who will want to see their female children holding it down with their male counterparts.

Every woman is beautiful when she is intelligent and the society needs to give us that enabling environment to achieve our dreams.

I'm just a teenager and I'm not going to be a beauty queen for ever but my passion for education and seeing the girl child succeed will never depart from me that's is why this foundation will be birthed she added.

A foremost Ijaw activist Comrade Stanley Patrick aka Ogbakiri,a signatory to Kiama declaration and a leader of KOLTA MILITANTS has called on Ijaw leaders to call Proffesor Charlse Dokubo to order and also ask the contractors handling the Bomadi Skill Aquisition centre to quickly complete the project so that Niger Delta youths can benefit from the scheme. Ogbakiri lamented how the project is been slowed down despit the huge amount that is been pumped in to complete it,he said about 85 percent of the total contract sum have been given to the contractors and these contractors instead of doing their jobs they are busy enriching themselves and building mansions for themselves. The story of professor Charlse Dokubo could be likened to Amalanze the cat,that  great wrestler whose back never  touched the ground.
