HON WILLIAM ANGADI HONOURED,PROMISED THAT BOMADI CAN HAVE 24HRS POWER SUPPLY IF THEY CAN PAY UP THEIR BILLS.

The Ijaw Youth Vision honoured the Bomadi Local Government Council Boss Hon William Angadi with the "most outstanding and performing chairman"award. The award which was given at the 11th edition of the Ijaw Cultural festival in Bomadi.



When Presenting the Award on behalf of the group Prince Kelvin Ayemi popularly known as Tupac described the chairman's achievements as visible and laudable,he futher comended the Chairman for the facelift of the council and the 24hr power supply at the secratariate. That the award is a mark of giving credit and charging him to do more for the people of Bomadi.

When receiving the Award in his office the council boss expressed satisfaction on how the cultural festival was handled,he thanked the organizers for their commitment and promised to give them the needed support.

The Council Boss  futher expressed optimisim that in no distant time Bomadi community will be light up, that they have met with critical stakeholders at the state level and the power distributing company to see that within next week the issue of power will be a thing of the past.

To us as government we have played our part by paying for the transformers and outstanding debt,the rest now lies on the people. They should be ready to pay for the power they consume so that the distributing company will continue to give power supply to the people.

It is time we use every platform to tell our people on the need to pay our bills,that the council may not be able to pay the bills for the people that if the people can pay for the power they consume that he is promising them 24hr power supply he added.

When reacting to the chairman's remark the community youth president Comrade King Luciano Ebiwarebo thanked the chairman and promise to pass the message to others, that all hands will be on deck to actualize this.

A foremost Ijaw activist Comrade Stanley Patrick aka Ogbakiri,a signatory to Kiama declaration and a leader of KOLTA MILITANTS has called on Ijaw leaders to call Proffesor Charlse Dokubo to order and also ask the contractors handling the Bomadi Skill Aquisition centre to quickly complete the project so that Niger Delta youths can benefit from the scheme. Ogbakiri lamented how the project is been slowed down despit the huge amount that is been pumped in to complete it,he said about 85 percent of the total contract sum have been given to the contractors and these contractors instead of doing their jobs they are busy enriching themselves and building mansions for themselves.
