TIMAYA STORMS OX BOW LAKE AS ORGANIZERS UNVEILS JANUARY 1ST AS TIMAYA DAY.

Inetimi Odon, popularly known as Timaya,  an acclaimed king of Afro-soca music, Born in Sampou, kolokuma Opokuma local government area of Bayelsa state   his music has transcended  beyond his early beginning in southern part of Nigeria  to south Africa,  Asia, Caribbean, Europe, USA and the rest of the world. With numerous awards, multi platinum hit singles  and international  collaborations.



It is with great joy and privilege that DM RECORDS in partnership with PGR Entertainment brings to you the inaugural Edition of TIMAYA DAY 1st of January  2020. 

It's a day set aside to honor the contributions of our illustrious son to the music industry, no doubts TIMAYA is the biggest cultural/creative export from  izon nation to the world. 

This years edition which will be held at the iconic ox bow lake pavilion will feature an array of local and international music stars.

The event will  be an opportunity for Bayelsans  to celebrate the new year  and also discover young hiding talents that will take over the music industry in the near future. 

Entry to this event is free as this is one of his contributions to the development of tourism and the musical industry in Bayelsa. 

We use this medium to call on all well meaning Bayelsans and cooperate org to support and partner with this project.

A foremost Ijaw activist Comrade Stanley Patrick aka Ogbakiri,a signatory to Kiama declaration and a leader of KOLTA MILITANTS has called on Ijaw leaders to call Proffesor Charlse Dokubo to order and also ask the contractors handling the Bomadi Skill Aquisition centre to quickly complete the project so that Niger Delta youths can benefit from the scheme. Ogbakiri lamented how the project is been slowed down despit the huge amount that is been pumped in to complete it,he said about 85 percent of the total contract sum have been given to the contractors and these contractors instead of doing their jobs they are busy enriching themselves and building mansions for themselves. The story of professor Charlse Dokubo could be likened to Amalanze the cat,that  great wrestler whose back never  touched the ground. Just as the nature of cats  that survive many battles,so is proffessor Charlse Dokubo.  Since the day he emerged as the Special Adviser to the president on the Amnesty pProgramme there are tens of thousands of petitions to remove him from office that he is incompetent and not be able to address the problems of the Niger Delta.
