POOR PARENTING,A MAJOR PROBLEM OF SOCIETAL DISORDERLINESS..MISS BOLGA.
The winner of the first edition of the Miss BOLGA beauty pageant Queen Serena Ogodobiri has described poor parenting as the major problem of societal disorderliness.
This she said when addressing the press over the continuous societal decadence and the lose of moral value among teenagers and youths in the society, she noted that the issue of prevailing rape cases, teenage pregnancy, drug addiction, cultistism, and whatsoever crime you think about is geared towards the parents filling to take responsibility of what they are suppose to do.
Parents are the first contact every child meets before they meet the society,so parents are duty bound to carry out every correctional measure to see that the child becomes a better person in life by providing the child the basic necessity of life which includes quality education, good and proper moral upbringing, shelter and what have you she added.
Every parent should understand that there is need to prepare for every child before bringing them into life, and there is a need to monitor them properly to become better people in the society.
Do you know that our today teenagers take up responsibilities parents ought to take that is why many of them are led astray?most teenagers provide food themselves, cloths themselves and even use the surplus for their up keep that is why the male folks capitalise on this and will want to take undue advantage over the girls and make them mothers when they are not yet ripe to be one.
As a teenager I have learnt to live an exemplary lifestyle to other teens knowing fully the societal pressure associated to teenage life.
Teenagers and youths should be given opportunities to learn trades and become use full to themselves, let the Bomadi amnesty training centre kick start, let the power project be completed, let the government also complete the Bomadi politechnique.all these will not only provide job opportunities but boost the economic well being of the people.
My project focus as a queen is to establish peace clubs in all the secondary schools in Bomadi local government area, because where there is no peace the society itself can not stand. I will also focus on developing a new generation of leaders from secondary schools that will use the platform to become better leaders tommorow.
I therefore call on our leaders to join us to now look inwards and transform the minds of our teens and youths.
