THE DIRECTORATE OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS IN COLLABORATION WITH EMJADE RESOURCES CONSULTANCY ORGANISES A 2 DAY CAPACITY WORKSHOP FOR PRINCIPAL OFFICERS OF THE LEGISLATURE FROM THE 25 LOCAL GOVERNMENT OF DETA STATE.

The Special Adviser on Local Government and chieftancy Affairs to the executive Governor of Delta State,Hon Kelly Penawou who is celebrating his birthday today officially declared open the two day training workshop for primcipal officers in the legislature in the 25 Local Government Areas of Delta  State, with the theme "Pathway to achieving Harmonious and Mutual Coexistence between the Executive and the Legislature-the role of Principal Officers of the Legislative Council."



The Special Adviser who just concluded his familiarization tour to all the local government council headquarters disclosed that the essence of the training which will run a cross the Local Government areas in the State is to enhance the capacity of the principal officers in the legislature,so that they can relate effectively with the Executives.

The Special Adviser also charged the principal officers and charge them to put to  use what they will learn  during the training,and also thank God for making him to see another year,he said I am greatful to the almighty God who has been too faithful to fail in my affairs he concluded.

A foremost Ijaw activist Comrade Stanley Patrick aka Ogbakiri,a signatory to Kiama declaration and a leader of KOLTA MILITANTS has called on Ijaw leaders to call Proffesor Charlse Dokubo to order and also ask the contractors handling the Bomadi Skill Aquisition centre to quickly complete the project so that Niger Delta youths can benefit from the scheme. Ogbakiri lamented how the project is been slowed down despit the huge amount that is been pumped in to complete it,he said about 85 percent of the total contract sum have been given to the contractors and these contractors instead of doing their jobs they are busy enriching themselves and building mansions for themselves.
